JetBlue flies 130 A320 aircraft, and every one has pretty terrible built-in infotainment systems. That will change soon, though. The air travel has announced a revamped style of its cabins which will include Android-powered touchscreens within the seat backs. They will be Android-powered sure, but they may not be recognizable as Android.

Because JetBlue is not running a lot of full Android tablets, there will not be Play Store access. The choice to opt for Android simply causes it to be simpler for partners to build up apps and streaming content because of its new infotainment platform. It’ll include greater than 100 live Television channels via DirecTV, news updates, and countless movies. JetBlue describes the screens as 10.1-inch “high-definition” panels. That may mean 720p or 1080p they didn’t specify. You’ll also have AC power and USB at each seat (before USB Type-C to create individuals ports obsolete).

JetBlue intends to start moving the brand new infotainment system out the coming year and can get it on all aircraft by 2019.
