Just days after its tenth birthday, Google Maps isn’t sitting on its laurels. Maps is moving out its lane guidance feature to fifteen new countries, which have been in Europe:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Bulgaria
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Liechtenstein
  • Luxembourg
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Portugal
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland

Finally, we are able to quit listening to the possible lack of Maps features in Liechtenstein! While it’s been over 6 several weeks since lane guidance was added in the united states, it certainly is better late than never. This stuff aren’t simple to apply once the norms and laws and regulations for driving may differ vastly across countries. Keep in mind that France, Germany, Italia, Ireland, The country, and also the Uk received support with this feature in December too, so their European coverage is fairly good at this time.

For that unfamiliar, lane guidance informs you where you will have to be on the path to execute the next maneuver. Without lane guidance, you may just know you need to exit in 2 miles. By using it, you know you need to exit right while using right 3 lanes by 50 percent miles. Nothing’s more unpleasant than getting to create a last-second switch since you did not realize you had been within the wrong lane.

There’s no update required for this selection because it has already established official support since version 8.. Google should result in the change around the server side soon if they haven’t. Many users are reporting they have seen it for action already.
